Blog Followers,
Winter storms are here and have put a bit of a damper on the local fishing, Hodges looks promising with high water levels and virtually no fishing pressure. Look for prime largemouth fishing in the coming weeks. Fish should be targeting bigger baits as they are loading up for the upcoming spawn, fish jigs and other crawdad immitations supplemented with search-baits like lipless crankbaits and chatterbaits. San Diego and Mission bays have been off and on as of late but some determined fishermen have been hooking up with the occasional flatty. Fly Tiers come on in and load up on materials for the opener that will be here before you know it. I also wanted everyone to know that the Qualifier 105 dropped off their 2011 schedules and looks like they have some great trips lined up. Happy fishing!

Longfins Erupt at Dumping Grounds!
Fished the dumping grounds with Capt. Tony on the New Dippy yesterday (7/27/10) for limits of albacore for 3 people. Hot jig color was black and purple on zukers or small jetheads. We had up to 7 fish on one stop. Fishing went from decent in the morning to outstanding in the afternoon it was a great trip and great fishing! Thanks Capt. Tony. Come by the shop and get dialed in!
